J.B Bernstein

CEO, AviSight

As CEO of AviSight, J.B. Bernstein is steering the world’s leading provider of unmanned aerial inspection and data services onto a path of success. Prior to this, however, Bernstein claimed fame for other reasons: The entrepreneur and sports agent had gone to India to look for baseball pitchers and found two that were ultimately signed by the Pirates to minor league contracts. His story was made into the inspirational “Million Dollar Arm” movie and released worldwide by Disney in 2014.

Portrayed by Jon Hamm in the movie, Bernstein has been known as one of the most respected marketing experts in the world. His creative mind has now led him from baseball to the world of UAS inspections.

Bernstein, who started as a passive investor in AviSight in 2016, was named CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors in March of 2017. Under his leadership, company sales have grown more than 20 times and the number of employees has tripled. Bernstein has truly secured AviSight’s position as the industry leader in unmanned industrial inspections and advanced data solutions.
Most recently, the AviSight team, under his direction, unveiled its proprietary C3UBE™ Command Center. This mobile command center enables unmanned Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) data collection and near real time data streaming from almost any point within any critical infrastructure network.

Prior to his career in sports and the UAS industry, Bernstein worked as a Brand Manager for Procter & Gamble, where he helped increase consumer demand and market share for several of their flagship brands, like Jif and Downy.

It was in his next role, as the Director of Development for The Upper Deck Company, that he was able to marry his marketing expertise with his passion for sports. Bernstein’s successful marketing initiatives, including creating record chasing campaigns for Wayne Gretzky and Dan Marino, securely established him as an expert in the field.

As one of the founders or Major League Soccer, he served as the head of licensing and merchandising, where he secured over 50 national and international licensees leading to the creation of hundreds of MLS products and over $50MM in licensing revenue.

As the President and CEO of Access Group of Miami, LLC and the Managing Director & Co-founder of Seven Figures Management, Bernstein has represented some of the greatest athletes of all time, including Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith and Barry Bonds. He is responsible for several groundbreaking marketing campaigns with them and other clients.

His efforts are not exclusive to sports. Bernstein has successfully created, funded and sold companies in categories ranging from kids building blocks to nutritional supplements.

He is a highly coveted business speaker, a NY Times Best Selling Author, and an angel investor that continues to search for next big idea.

He is a graduate of University of Massachusetts, where he earned a B.S. degree in Political Science. He continued to get his MBA from the London School of Economics and has also received a PhD in Physics from University of Southern California.

He resides in Las Vegas, NV with his wife and daughter.
