In 2015, Susan founded Prairie Mountain Partners, a boutique corporate finance advisory firm, dedicated to providing solutions to mid-size businesses.  Focused on finding unique and successful solutions, Susan loves making a difference in the lives of her clients.

Beginning her career as a Wall Street Investment Banker, Susan completed over $10 billion of international debt and project finance offerings, equity and equity linked offerings and merger and acquisition transactions.  Susan has worked in New York, London, Hong Kong and Calgary with RBC Capital Markets, Barclays Capital and Salomon Smith Barney (CitiBank).

Following her departure from investment banking, Susan became an instructor at the University of Calgary teaching Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Governance & Compensation.  From 2012 to 2018 Susan was an elected Senator of the University of Calgary.

James is a business development and corporate finance professional with over 20 years of experience. James has worked with hundreds of companies to advise, develop and execute strategies to manage business development, financial and operational challenges.

James is Quantum Silicon Inc.’s Vice President of Business Development and CFO. Quantum Silicon is a high-tech startup focused on next generation computing. Quantum Silicon is a world-leader in atomic-scale lithography utilizing proprietary Atomic Silicon Quantum Dots that enable a 1000x reduction in computing power, a 100x increase in computing speeds and is fully compatible with today’s architecture.

In addition to Quantum Silicon, James is an Executive-in-Residence with Zone Calgary, a venture arm of GE, Baker Hughes and Telus. Previously, James was responsible for expanding Chrysalix’ alternative energy and cleantech venture capital principal investing presence in Alberta. Prior to Chrysalix, James was responsible for establishing and growing Goldman Sachs’ principal investing business in the energy sector in Canada.

James graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from the University of Saskatchewan and a Masters in Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University. James also holds the ICD.D designation.

Terrance Kutryk was formerly President and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Pipeline.  Prior to this he had an extensive career at Husky Energy culminating as Senior Vice President, Midstream & Refined Products.  He held the position of Chairman of the Board for Sultran Ltd., Pacific Coast Terminals and the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association. Mr. Kutryk maintains an active management, commercial, operations and due diligence consulting practice and was on the Alberta Government Natural Gas Advisory Panel and is on the advisory boards for Crux OCM, the University of Calgary Haskayne Centre for Advanced Supply Chain Management & Logistics, WaterSmart Solutions and the board of VantEdge O&G. He has Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Calgary and a Petroleum Land Management certificate from Mount Royal University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, an ICD.D from the Institute of Corporate Directors and holds designations from the Investment Dealers Association of Canada. Mr. Kutryk is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Petroleum Society of Canada, CFA Institute and the Calgary Society of Financial Analysts.
